Peace through the Basis of Being

Our natural state is happiness. We should be and were designed to be happy. Human beings are like flowers; given the right conditions humans can cultivate an almost permanent state of ecstasy. The issue is, fear turns us into blithering idiots…looking for someone, anyone, to lead the way without any thought of our own well-being and survival, only their own. Unfortunately, bigotry, governmental brutality, religious and military intolerance, disease, pain are still evident in the world. Where some new disease or dictator, government coup or invading country always threatens our existence, is not where we want to be.

To exist in such a state paralyzes us, year after year, and generation after generation; so that every molecule in our body is on red-alert daily; ready to fight for survival by any means necessary. This takes away from what we consciously should be pursuing instead - happiness. This state of fear manifests itself as despair, depression, anger, frustration, and increased aggression; towards ourselves and those around us. This may lead to terrorism, whether individually or on a global scale; but to respond with a declaration of war and attempt to eradicate the offender without stifling the root cause is wrong.

This type of behavior leads to forced enlistment in the military, disruption of basic freedoms, and the eventual removal of said freedoms by a government that treats the symptoms instead of the cause. Our best interests are not in the minds of the government, nor any religious organization. The government truly wants to control the population in any way it can; fear is currently its best and only option. Far be it from them to realize that by cultivating harmony, hope, friendship, and love, we, as a whole humanity, will be able to defeat much. Once humans get past this point, we can concentrate on greater things. We can strive towards exploring more than we've ever dreamed possible.

When all our attention is given to this underlying fear, it shackles us into certain kinds of thought, i.e. basic survival. If we move away from this we can progress as a whole global entity. We will be happy and advance farther than ever before. Governments and religious organizations have coddled the human race. They have succeeded in their agenda of turning the greater part of the populace into mindless sheep. We eat, sleep, breathe, pay taxes, maybe go on vacation once in awhile, then we eventually die, usually much sooner than we would like because of one thing or another that could have been prevented had we been allowed to put our minds to its solution.

There is a much bigger picture that we should look at, but government and religious circles don't want us to see that picture. They only show us pieces of the whole and then only after we have been told how to feel about it. They say they have our best interests at heart, but if one just thinks about it, even for a moment, there is much, much more of which we NEED to be aware. There is too much at stake for us not to be concerned about our future. Even now, in this day and age, we labor for our living, to whore our brains and bodies for someone else, to pay us meager wages that barely cover the expense of living.

We have relinquished our freedoms for the almighty dollar. All our energy is poured into this 'clawing' for monetary compensation for our survival, day after day, excitement and happiness is hindered merely by the need to survive. Our awareness is slipping away; we work, we grow old, we die. This can change. We have the power. If religion can't deliver, which it has not, what's next? What can we put our faith in to make things right? Humanity. Humans are capable of so much more. Having stated that, human beings are our only hope.

We have science and technology. Technology is the application of science. Science, if applied correctly can lead us to a new 'age' of enlightenment and understanding; where human beings don't have to work unless they want to, and everything we need is in abundance. We must first come to terms with each other, though. We must stop referring to ourselves as Africans, Jews, Americans, Russians, French, or whatever. We are just humans; bound to an earth that will someday cease to sustain us if we don't act now.

Science and technology has opened so many doors for us, but we still spend money on war. So far, Congress has authorized $152,600,000,000 for the Iraq war. Imagine if that money was used for schools, alternate fuel research, or just plain betterment of the human race. Science is our great equalizer. Modern medicines, nay better health and nutrition, can fight some disease and extend life. Biotechnology can create enough food for the whole planet to be famine-free. And if we must, advances in nanotechnology can allow us time to be human and enjoy our lives. These advances in technology and science must be garnered with wisdom and a solid awareness of what we are doing.

This must be adhered to above all else, or our paradise may never come. Happiness, contentment, and pleasure are the key. These are the catalysts to remove the fear - to awaken our minds. By cultivating our senses and allowing pleasure to infiltrate every moment of our lives, the fear will no longer affect us, and we can effectively begin to utilize our brains for what they were meant to do. An open mind and clear thought come with exercising our senses, without the bigotry, fear, and guilt that religious organizations or government put on us.

We will soon know the truth, and be able to change what needs to be changed in order to enjoy the good in life. Humanity has the technology to free us from our shackles; the issue is we don't have an understanding of how it can help. This technology can help us build a paradise. But, world governments and religious organizations want us to stay in the dark, they want us to fail in our endeavors, and they want us to remain in a primitive, fearful state of mind. There is a better way - The Basis of Being.

Book 1: Chapter 10: Maxim 12: All humans are fallible and have equal capacity for right and wrong. Do not fall for leaders who claim perfection in any form, they are liars, and to believe them will make you a fool.
